One dress, many fabrics
In a small studio in London, every shop chose its own fabric. The dress stayed the same, and became theirs.
Twice a year we took the collection to Paris. Buyers came from shops all over the world, and something happened that I have never forgotten: they did not only choose a dress. They chose the dress in cotton, or in linen, or in silk, for their own customers.
The pattern was ours. The garment was theirs.
