A second life for leftover fabric
Adeu means goodbye in Catalan. It began with fabrics that were about to be left behind.

Two friends were leaving A Coruña. For a long time we had spent our Friday and Saturday afternoons together, a glass of wine on the table, imagining the collection we would make one day. When they decided to go, there were shelves of fabric that nobody was going to look after.
We did not want to throw them away, and we did not want to buy more. So the fabrics chose the garments: a green wool became a waistcoat that falls open like a curtain, an oatmeal wool a long coat, a wine cotton a skirt cut in points.
Not a second life. For most of them, a first one.

Eighteen garments later, we went away for a weekend with friends: a house, a church, a vineyard at sunset. They wore the collection while we walked, ate and laughed. Those photographs are the ones you see on this site.

Every pattern tells you which fabric we used and how much of it. If you have a length of cloth waiting in a drawer, this is a good place to start.
